Cutter Gauthier Stacking Points Early in 2025 IIHF World Championship
With the NHL Playoffs having commenced, so too has the 2025 IIHF (International Ice Hockey Federation) World Championship. Each year, only a handful of the best NHL players whose teams are eliminated from the NHL postseason get to participate. Each national team is composed of only the best available players from their respective countries.
Thus far, after the first four games, the Anaheim Ducks’ very own Cutter Gauthier is tied for third-most goals of all players in the tournament. He has scored 5 points consisting of 4 goals and 1 assist. He is currently playing at an astounding 1.25 point per game pace- with and against some of the very best available players in the sport of hockey.

This past NHL season, Gauthier- in his rookie season- scored 20 goals and 24 assists totalling 44 points in 82 games. He ranked 5th amongst all rookies in points per game at 0.54. These are some pretty impressive stats for 21-year old Gauthier, who is trying to prove his NHL-caliber skill. As the 2025-26 NHL season approaches, the biggest question will be: “How long until Gauthier becomes a consistent force for the Ducks- and an even bigger threat to the other 31 teams within the NHL.”
