Lukas Dostal Secures Long-Term Future in Anaheim with $32M Contract Extension

A key piece to the Anaheim Ducks roster, being Lukas Dostal, has just avoided arbitration and re-signed with a 5-year x 6.5-million dollar contract. This deal will keep Dostal in Orange Country through the 2029-30 NHL season. The fine-print comes with a 10-team no trade clause in years 3 to 5 of the contract.

General Manager Pat Verbeek went on the record saying; “Lukas has proven he is a number one (1) goaltender, and we are so pleased to get the deal done. He is just entering the prime of his career with his best hockey ahead of him” (Anaheim Ducks Via X).

Dostal has played for the Anaheim Ducks for a total of four (4) seasons from 2021 to present. Thus far, he has skated in a career total of 121 NHL games having played exclusively with the Anaheim Ducks. Currently, Dostal has acquired 42 wins, 2 shutouts and a cumulative save percentage of .902.

Dostal, the proven and extremely talented goaltender is a 6’2, 25-year old from Brno, Czech Republic, weighing in at 190 pounds. He was originally drafted by the Anaheim Ducks in the third-round at 85th overall in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.

In a post-signing interview with the Anaheim Ducks, Dostal had this to say; “I really trust the core that we have here, and I really believe it’s going to be a very exciting time to be a Ducks fan” (Anaheim Ducks Via X).
